Monday

The flight from the U.S. to Frankfurt went well but my flight from Frankfurt to Florence was cancelled due to weather. Luckily there were a bunch of us together all on the API program who were stuck. We managed to get onto a later flight to Bologna where they would then bus us to Florence. That flight was delayed but several hours, a plane ride, bus ride, and taxi ride later I was at my hotel and Florence. We missed the welcome dinner, but the hotel gave us boxed dinners for the night.

I got up to my hotel room and met my roommate Mary, ate my dinner, called home, took a shower, and went to bed. After so much traveling, it was great to finally sleep.
